Areas where I can help
It is natural to feel uncertain before reaching out to a psychologist: you do not need to know exactly how to explain what is on your mind, or whether your situation is "serious enough" to ask for support. Our work is grounded in attention, acceptance, and collaboration - step by step, at your own pace, we clarify what kind of support could be helpful and how to move forward.
About me
I am Panna Márkus, a certified psychologist. I use cognitive behavioral therapy tools to help with what's holding you back. I see clients in person in Budapest, and also offer online consultations, so we can keep working together even when meeting in person is not possible. With several years of experience, I support people in understanding their situation, recognizing their resources, and moving forward in manageable steps. Clear communication, professional responsibility, and respect for each person's pace are central to my work.

Areas of support
You do not need a diagnosis or a perfectly defined problem to begin - it is enough to feel that something is weighing on you, or that you would like more clarity about a situation. The topics below are a helpful starting point, but consultation is open to a much wider range of concerns.
Would you like to understand more clearly why you react the way you do, and where your recurring patterns come from? Together we map your values and ways of functioning so you can make more conscious decisions.
When pressure has been building for weeks and your capacity feels stretched thin, it helps to have a space to make sense of what is happening inside you. We look together at what could ease the load and how to protect your energy going forward.
A new life stage, a loss, or an unexpected turn can shake the ground you thought was steady. I offer space to gradually process what has happened and find footholds for moving forward.
If recurring misunderstandings, tension, or unspoken needs are straining your relationships, we can make your patterns easier to see together. This can help you communicate differently with the people who matter to you.
If you often put your own needs last, or find it hard to say no, we can work on recognizing and expressing what you need more clearly - without the guilt that often comes with it.
When you are caught between competing priorities and it feels like every direction means losing something, I help you organize your considerations so you can decide with more confidence.
Sometimes it is simply a relief not to think through what is happening entirely on your own. In these moments, consultation can be a steady point while you find your way through.
If a safe space to reflect could be helpful, you are welcome to send a message - the first step carries no obligation. Contact
How consultation works
Send a short email or use the form to express your interest. You do not need to describe your situation in detail - a short note that you would like to talk is enough.
We meet, discuss what brings you here, and review the practical framework: scheduling, format, and what you can expect going forward.
Gradually, at your own pace, we explore the important connections in your situation and what kind of support you may need now.
We define the focus of the process together - and can revisit it any time something important shifts.
We agree on frequency and format based on your needs, your circumstances, and professional considerations.
Sessions are confidential, subject to exceptions defined by law and professional ethical standards - you will receive detailed information about these during the first session.

The first session is mainly about getting to know each other and understanding your situation together. You can share what has been on your mind, while my questions help us explore it at a manageable pace. You do not need a polished story, a precise goal, or a perfectly formulated problem - a feeling or a question you would like to work on is enough. The session carries no obligation: at the end, we discuss together whether continuing feels right for you, and what kind of framework would best serve your needs.
Pricing & bookingWe focus on what matters to you - without criticism or judgment.
What you share is protected by professional confidentiality, so you can speak freely.
You know what to expect in advance: scheduling, fees, and the process are transparent.
There is no rush - we move at whatever pace works for you.
You get a partner in finding your own answers, not a prescribed script.
I communicate clearly about where we stand and what the next step could be.
Sometimes, giving time and attention to something that has been present for a while is already a meaningful shift. Consultation does not promise ready-made answers; it offers a space where you can gradually move closer to your own - and where you do not have to carry what is difficult by yourself. The longer you postpone the first step, the longer you carry the weight; a short message is enough to get something started.
Clear answers to common questions before reaching out.
It can be useful whenever you would like to understand a life situation, recurring pattern, or decision more clearly. You do not have to wait until things become more difficult - often, an early step saves you a longer, harder road later.
We get to know each other, discuss what brings you here, and clarify the goals and framework. It is a mutual orientation, not a test or commitment - at the end, we decide together whether continuing feels like the right direction.
No. We can begin with what you are currently experiencing or thinking about and find the words together - often the conversation itself helps bring more clarity.
Many topics can be explored well online when you have a private, calm space and a stable connection. We can discuss whether this format is suitable for you, and switch to in-person sessions at any time.
The length is individual and depends on the topic, goals, and circumstances. We regularly review the focus and progress together, so you always know where things stand.
A session costs HUF 15,000, which I will confirm precisely when you book. Feel free to ask about it in your very first message.
Psychologists are bound by professional confidentiality. You will receive detailed information about exceptions defined by law and ethical standards during the first session, so you know exactly what to expect.
A psychologist offers support through psychological methods. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose and prescribe medication. The professions may collaborate, and I will suggest another specialist if I believe it would help.
You can reach out through the form, by email, or by phone - this does not commit you to anything. We will then agree on a suitable time and format, and I will usually get back to you within 1 business day.
